Read this first: James 5:11
James has warned his friends about thinking wrongly of God (1:13). To indulge such thoughts is to fall into wicked idolatry: seeing God not as He is but as we imagine Him. But here, James points to the truth. God is full of concern for His children and is quick to come to our aid when we need Him. Never let life’s painful moments steal that reality from you. Know God as He is.
