Read this first: James 5:11
Job is a powerful example of perseverance. He suffered much, but would not let go of God. The outcome confirmed that the Lord can be trusted with all that strikes us, for He intends ultimate good for His people. That doesn’t make our road through life less painful, but it does reassure us that God isn’t failing or being mean. Rather, His goal is our blessing (Rom 8:28).
