Read this first: 1 Samuel 31:1-2
Yesterday, Saul was warned of his impending doom by a dead Samuel (28:19). Now that fate closes in. Though on high ground, Israel's army is flying or dying, with Saul's sons among the slain. Saul's sin has ruined his life and the lives his family and his people. Do you imagine your private sins just impact you? Wrong! They also cause harm to ones you love. Repent of them.
