Read this first: 1 Samuel 29:4-5
David is not trusted since he's removed Philistine heads in the past (17:51) and thrashed their armies (18:7). So Achish is angrily told to remove him! Our past deeds can linger and spoil our current relationships. If we misbehaved, then we must repent of sin and apologise for folly to repair them (Mat 5:23-24). But if we didn't, then we should ask the Lord to bring resolution.
