Read this first: 1 Samuel 26:1-2
David's troubles seem to be on repeat, as the same folk go to Saul (23:19) and, once more, the king hunts for him. It's very disheartening when trials we thought we'd overcome return to us. But if you look carefully, you find - as David will - the trials are never quite the same because the Lord never leaves his people trapped, for he works for our good (Rom 8:28-30).
