Read this first: 1 Samuel 25:27-28
Abigail presents the peace gift she's brought not just for David but his whole army. Then she points to David's promised future to impress on him the need not to let it be damaged by a rash and unjust act. Sins committed in a moment of emotion may echo in life long after. Pray for yourself, your family, your friends, not to be fooled by the devil through such temptations.
