Read this first: 1 Samuel 24:2
Israel is endangered by enemies, yet Saul leads a large number of his best men to hunt down David who has done him no wrong! Driven by personal jealousy and resentment, the king is failing in his duties to his people. When angry with another, we must watch ourselves. Sin rises up easily at such emotional times (Jam 1:19-20) and we must resist it (Eph 4:26-27).
