Read this first: 1 Samuel 24:1
Saul was providentially called away to a foreign incursion and prevented from fighting David. However, on his return, he immediately picks up new intelligence on his erstwhile general. Saul's priority should be Israel's enemies, but obsession ever drives him back to David. Foolish preoccupations can direct us away from our duty to God. Pray you'll see what matters most.
