The king's officials were not willing
Think of the King - 328
Read this first: 1 Samuel 22:16-17
Saul's trial has been unjust. Nonetheless, he pronounces the immediate execution of all the priests (not just Ahimelech who spoke to David). Israel wanted a king like other nations (8:5) and now they have one! However, those serving Saul do not like what they see and refuse to obey his evil command. As Christians, we must always obey God before men (Act 5:27-29).
