Read this first: 1 Samuel 22:14-15
Ahimelech and his fellows are trapped in Saul's slandering courtroom. So he gives a strong defence, pointing to David's standing and his own innocence, without any comment on the concerns he had (21:1) since Saul is unjust and dangerous. Pray for lawyers defending falsely accused Christians in courtrooms today, that they'd know what to say and what not to say.
