The servants of Achish
Think of the King - 316
Read this first: 1 Samuel 21:10-11
David's plan to stay in Gath quickly falls apart. Achish's advisers know David's reputation only too well and it goes far beyond his Goliath victory - they've heard the infamous song (18:6-7)! Not realising the truth they speak, they even call him king. We can make plans but God hasn't promised they'll succeed. Sometimes, the service the Lord asks of us is to handle failure well.
