I will sing your praises
The king over all - 029
Read this first: Hebrews 2:12
Psalm 22:1 was spoken by Jesus on the cross (Mar 15:34) for it is the song of a suffering king. Here is quoted a later verse, v22, where the king, with his people listening, praises God for His goodness, for suffering has become victory! And Jesus would say the same to us when we gather for worship: to remember how his cross was God's road to glory, and to rejoice in that.
