Friendship with the world is hatred towards God

Ancient Israel looked to other nations, and their gods, to satisfy unmet desires. Prophets like Hosea (Hos 1:2) said this was to treat the Lord the way an adulterous wife treats her husband. James warns his friends that they are doing the same, and it won't end well! We must live by trust in the Lord, not by embracing the world's ways of handling life's problems. Stay faithful.
