Think of the King - 407
Read this first: 1 Samuel 27:8
David is now living with his enemy (v7) but only to escape Saul (v4) and not because he's turned against his own people. So whilst there, he executes raids to extend Israel's kingdom into areas the Lord previously gave to her. When under strain we must still ask ourselves what we can do to please the Lord, and not simply give up trying due to our hard circumstances.
