Let the blame be on me
Think of the King - 376
Read this first: 1 Samuel 25:24
Abigail takes the guilt of recent events onto herself, despite not causing them. This is not deceit for David knows exactly what happened (v12) and can see she is sacrificing her name and honour for the sake of others, including her servants (v14). In this she points to Jesus who laid aside his glory and became a slave to save others (Phi 2:7). What beautiful humility!
