May God deal with David
Think of the King - 374
Read this first: 1 Samuel 25:21-22
David's manly pride is hurt. Nabal despises a good turn, paying it back with evil! Well, David can dish out evil too! And he crudely (v22-KJV) swears an oath to God that he'll kill all Nabal's men. Pride can lead us to engage our mouths before our consciences have control. This can bring talk which is foul, cruel or stupid. May God help us control our tongues (Jam 3:9-12).
