Read this first: 1 Samuel 23:12-13
David asks again if he'll be betrayed. God says yes but nothing more. So what should David do? He doesn't want another massacre on his conscience (22:22). He chooses to leave and, in God's mercy, Saul doesn't strike Keilah. David then goes on to live a nomadic life. If we take a decision with godly care then we can trust the Lord for the outcome, assured of His grace.
