Out of love for him
Think of the King - 294
Read this first: 1 Samuel 20:16-17
David and Jonathan have had a frank and uneasy conversation in a tense atmosphere. But strong love has brought them through: David vows once more (v3) that he's only spoken the truth about Jonathan's father; the covenant between these friends is firm. "There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother" says Proverbs 18:24. Are you a friend like that to others?
