Read this first: 1 Samuel 14:15
God responds to Jonathan's act of faith by shaking the ground under the enemies' feet. The effect of Jonathan's attack and the Lord's intervention is stunning: the Philistine army goes into panic. We can often be frightened by things which really aren't so scary but we overplay them in our minds. But the Lord certainly should be feared - in that lies wisdom (Pro 9:10).
