Read this first: Hebrews 2:14
Without harming his divinity, God's Son came to earth to become fully like us, including coming under the Devil's power. Not that the evil one could get Jesus to sin. But he could engineer his death, which seemed like a victory. However, in reality it was the opposite since after Jesus died for our sins, he rose to give us eternal life and condemn the devil (Rev 20:10).
