Read this first: Hebrews 2:6
Psalm 8 is now quoted, where the writer is amazed that God should value human beings. Yet He does because He made us in His image and destined us to rule the world (Gen 1:26). Not that we piles of crumbling dust deserve any honour now, given our sinful behaviour. But like the Psalm, we praise God’s grace towards His creation. What merciful care He has shown us!
