Read this first: James 5:6
James's final criticism of the rich is how they use their wealth to turn the justice system on people who offend them, even when they've done no wrong! Courts are often used by those with money to crush whom they will (2:6), as Jesus's trial shows. Ask the Lord to ensure that justice is upheld in our own land and elsewhere, and the innocent are set free (Exo 23:6-8).
