Some people are quick to lecture others about their lives because they think they know best. James warns against this behaviour for it's often done with a harshness or pride that invites God to come down hard on us (2:12-13). As Jesus taught (Mat 7:1-5), Christians need to have self-awareness, and undertake self-correction, if they really want to be able to help others.
