The LORD gave me into your hands

Read this first: 1 Samuel 24:18
David could have felt the arrival of Saul in the cave was the Lord giving him the king to strike down and end his troubles. But, as Saul recognises, David didn't interpret God's providence in that way. When apparent blessings come our way we must not rush to act based on our feelings about them. God's word is our guide. We do what it tells us, not simply what we feel.
