The Spirit of God came

Read this first: 1 Samuel 19:23
God's Spirit once helped Saul to rule but left after his constant disobedience (16:14). Now the Spirit returns, temporarily, and Saul speaks again with insight. But not of his reign for that is over: this visit is to protect David from Saul's hatred. Paul writes that the Spirit is grieved by wicked words and deeds that sow division (Eph 4:30-31). May God keep us from such ways.
