Think of the King - 190
Read this first: 1 Samuel 14:31-32
After a day of hard fighting, Saul's oath has left his troops famished. His folly has made them like wild dogs so that, once free to eat, they devour meat thoughtlessly and so break God's law (Gen 9:4). Since the flood, God has given us his precious creatures as food (Gen 9:3). But we must always respect what a privilege it is to be kept alive by the sacrifice of another life.
