Bring the ark
Think of the King - 184
Read this first: 1 Samuel 14:18-19
Via Eli's failed priesthood Saul retrieves God's ark from long-term storage (7:2). Why? As a lucky charm? To entice Samuel back? His behaviour is bizarre. And chaotic, as seen when he backs off from the ark as circumstances become more intimidating. The Lord's gifts are to be used in the Lord's way. If we misuse them, we'll bring discipline on ourselves (1Co 11:27-32).
