Read this first: Hebrews 2:9
In Adam we all fell and were hopelessly lost. But the Son of God stepped down to us for our salvation. His wondrous humility took him all the way to death. Our sin was publicly punished in him on his cross, and God’s justice visibly satisfied, so we could be saved from Hell. Having shown such love, Jesus now has the highest honour of heaven. What grace we have received.
