Read this first: Hebrews 1:14
The hearers of Hebrews were excited by the thought of angelic involvement in the life of ancient Israel - it made their Judaism feel superior. However, though the angels’ work is important, it doesn’t make them feel superior. Indeed, the opposite is true. They rejoice over each one saved from sin (Luk 15:7-10) and humbly serve the well-being of all God’s children.
