The king over all - 010
Read this first: Hebrews 1:5
Jesus is above Old Testament spokesmen (v1-3). The writer now draws on some of them to show Jesus is above the angels too (v4). In Psalm 2 and 2 Samuel 7 God adopts Israel’s king as his son. That royal throne has now been inherited by Jesus and it is his forever (because he’s God’s eternal Son). No angel has such honour! Turn that thought into adoration today.
