Read this first: Hebrews 1:1
Hebrews is an exhortation (13:22) to early Christians not to be overawed by the blessings of first century Jewish culture. God did speak to the Israelites through the prophets of the Old Testament. But He didn’t stop there: a greater Word was going to come. We are to be people looking forward to all God will yet do, not those trapped by what we’ve enjoyed in the past.
